I'm a Science and Maths teacher in a post-primary school in Ireland, and a part-time lecturer in Science Education in University College Dublin. I also work with the Professional Development Support Service for Teachers, and I am a member of Science on Stage Ireland. I've also written a couple of science textbooks.  I'm interested in the Nature of Science, misconceptions (esp in Biology), argumentation, inquiry, biotechnology, evolution, genomics, bioinformatics, societal and ethical issues in the science classroom, P4C.
