Evolution is associated with controversy and much debated across the education community. The significance of religious belief in this debate is well known. However little research has looked at non-faith reasons for its non-acceptance. I propose that the concepts presented by evolution are potentially disturbing and consider the implications of existential concerns in the science classroom.
