Children bring to school ideas formed about the world through their actions, observations and thinking in their daily lives. At the same time, we need to ensure that children develop a wide range of skills and also foster their confidence and capabilities to apply these skills in novel contexts. Enquiry provides the vehicle for this by tapping into the creative imagination of learners and channelling their curiosity in learning about science. This session by Chris Harrison and Sally Howard focuses on vignettes of practice from the EU SAILs project and from the new Science Ninja Project with CLEAPSS/King’s College London. Suitable for KS1/2/3.
