Science education has failed. Ignorance of basic scientific facts and a lack of understanding of how science works have resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths throughout the world. Far too many people prefer to believe conspiracy theorists than scientists and science teachers. Do we, therefore, need a new vision of science literacy? Should we rebuild a science curriculum that students trust? How might a new pedagogy of science | environment | health change how we think about science education?
