Ecology fieldwork – increasing opportunities to work outdoorsA whirl-wind video tour of simple ecology fieldwork techniques that could be carried out in gardens or school grounds using readily available, recycled and home-made equipment. These activities enable students to continue with practical work from their own garden or socially distanced in school grounds. Learning outdoors is engaging and motivating for students and is particualrly important under the current circustances as the risk of COVID-19 transmission lower outdoors. The session will include the equipment and techniques needed for the ecology required practical.
You will make your own fieldwork equipment live during the session (bring your own kit, see list provided ahead of session).
