This session will explore what makes a good practical demonstration and how technicians can get involved with performing demonstrations in the classroom. We will discuss how technicians prepare demonstrations and how they are set up and explore a range of simple chemistry (and also some biology/physics) demonstrations that can be done in schools and colleges. With demonstrations becoming ever more important, its worth thinking about how they can be done and as technicians, how we can improve them and what to advise and suggest to teachers.
