I taught physics in Scottish schools for over 30 years before becoming the Scottish Education Manager for the Institute of Physics.  Throughout my career I have been active in curriculum and assessment development and especially in providing professional learning for teachers of physics and science.  I am a former Chair of ASE Scotland, Chair of ASE Trustees, Chair of IOP Scotland, and an IOP Physics Teacher Network Coordinator.  Since 2014 I have also worked closely with the Perimeter Institute in Canada to bring their education resources to teachers in the UK and Ireland.
